In this mini attorney interactive panel discussion, NJAWBO members, Carrie Ward and Stefani Schwartz, will provide a fun and interesting overview discussion on their areas of expertise as it relates to business owners. Carrie focuses on entertainment, sports, communications, and media law; and Stefani specializes in employment and labor legal issues.

They will enlighten you on legal issues you may not know about but should to protect your business interests.

Carrie Ward
Earp Cohn, P.C.


Carrie Ward is a business law attorney with a particular focus on entertainment, communications and media law. Her clients range from media group owners, small broadcasters and podcasters, actors, filmmakers, musicians and start-up entrepreneurs. Carrie works with her clients on the day-to-day operations of their business from protecting intellectual property, reviewing and drafting all types of contracts including vendor and employment agreements, and reviewing advertising content for regulatory compliance. She often serves as outside general counsel to corporate clients. In addition to her private practice experience, she worked in the legal departments of ABC, Inc. and Entercom Communications Corp. These experiences provide her a unique ability to analyze a client’s legal matter to create the most practical and economical solutions.



Stefani Schwartz

Stefani Schwartz has devoted her legal career to representing employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters. She is a leading practitioner in the field whose advice is often sought after. No matter the size of the company, or whether it is a public or private entity, Stefani dedicates herself to counseling her clients and ensuring that proper and effective employment policies are in place. In-house counsel, human resource professionals, and risk managers alike look to her for assistance in hiring, firing, and disciplining employees. In addition, employers rely on her counseling with regard to compliance issues relating to discrimination, harassment, leaves of absence, wage and hour laws, and restrictive covenants.
